TRIBES: Defragmented

This exhibition represents change through destruction. It represents a body of work that was done over the course of my years as a student; organized, designed, and throroughly cohesive. As I move forward in both my life and career I want to take my best work, and connect it with what the future could be. TRIBES: Defragmented is the successor of my first solo show, TRIBUS, which solely focused on visual development for animation. This time I plan on showing the most finished version of those thesis paintings, as well as a new body of work done traditionally. The acrylic paintings are an interpretation of my own work; it is me growing up, it is me questioning myself. The combination of these two disciplines will hopefully bridge the gap between who I was and who I will be as an artist.

Tribus

Exhibition show casing the pre-production process for animation. These pieces show all designs and scenes for an original project entitled Tribes.

This expo took place in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Many were in attendance and on the opening night we had a special performance by internationally renowned choreographer Cindy Sosa Ayala.

The work is meant to evoke mood, story elements, design, and shape language. All of the paintings belong in the same universe - a dystopian future where a group of misfits and rockers leave their futuristic city to build their own messy paradise.
