This exhibition represents change through destruction. It represents a body of work that was done over the course of my years as a student; organized, designed, and throroughly cohesive. As I move forward in both my life and career I want to take my best work, and connect it with what the future could be. TRIBES: Defragmented is the successor of my first solo show, TRIBUS, which solely focused on visual development for animation. This time I plan on showing the most finished version of those thesis paintings, as well as a new body of work done traditionally. The acrylic paintings are an interpretation of my own work; it is me growing up, it is me questioning myself. The combination of these two disciplines will hopefully bridge the gap between who I was and who I will be as an artist.
Create and Destruct.
